Jetstar passenger turned away from Bali flight over ‘tiny’ detail | #yahoonewsau

In a post to TikTok, Emmison Caddy explained that she was not allowed to board the plane because of a “tiny red dot” on the bottom corner of her passport.

Although the 27-year-old said that the dot “is so small it’s not covering my face or any documentation”, the decision was likely due to the fact that in Indonesia, airlines can cop a $7,000 fine if travellers are carrying damaged passports — with some tourists even being made to return to Australia.

Emmison added that “I was willing to risk it but Jetstar wouldn’t even let me on the plane.”

The Gold Coast woman was forced to arrange an emergency passport to get to Bali, which cost an eye-watering $700.
